“These...awesome private ranches...now open to guests...are the state's best kept secrets...places few people have ever seen before now open to serve nature-based recreationists.”

Planning Your Trip

There’s no theme park, no mall and no one size fits all pre-packaged stay on schedule and stay in line agenda here! We’re serious about that slowing it down and living it up thing.

Let us help you map out your own unique adventure. To get you started we’ve lined up some of our favorite un-vacations. They include suggested activities and destinations along with maps, dates, suggested stops, shops and itineraries.

Indoors or out, history or nature based, downtown or way out a town, picnic or sit down dinner, culture or cowboys…all our un-vacations are unhurried, unstressed, and uncrowded.

Be sure to check back often for new ideas as the seasons change! Christmas Bird Count, Old Fashioned 4th of July, Frog Frolics, the Dance Platform and Well Tastin’ Parties, Prairie Chicken Weekends, Ranch Gatherin’ and Workin’, long afternoons on horseback or lazy days on the river, Fall Foliage Festival or Turkey Strut…..There’s always something going on here in Texas Prairie Rivers Country.

Call or e-mail us for more personalized help.
