Preserving the Plains and Prairies

“Today is the very best day of my entire life.”
Eli, 6
TPRR Summer Series adventurer

Blizzards, droughts, fire, disease, loneliness, the Great Depression, Dustbowl Days and changing economic patterns—the people of this rugged region have always found a way to survive and thrive. Working together we can master today‚s challenges and prepare for tomorrows.

TPRR brings together a diverse group of over 500 partners, all dedicated to the conservation of our natural resources, support for the stewards of our prairie home and the preservation of our rural communities.

Be sure to read the stories of some of our partners and their work in addressing our current concerns including water conservation, stopping the salt cedar and Russian olive invasions, preservation of habitat and threatened bird and animal species, the brain drain.. loss of young adults to out-migration, sustainable development of our rural communities and our commitment not to be the last generation to live and work here in harmony with nature!
